How It Works
- Enable in Shopify Admin — Toggle on Agentic Storefronts from your sales channels
- AI agents discover your products — When users ask ChatGPT “best running shoes under $100,” your products can appear
- Users buy in-chat — Customers complete purchases without leaving the AI interface
- You manage centrally — All AI channel orders, inventory, and analytics flow through your existing Shopify Admin
Think of it as SEO for AI chatbots — instead of optimizing for Google’s search results, you’re optimizing for what ChatGPT and Copilot recommend.
The Agentic Plan (Non-Shopify Merchants)
The biggest surprise: you don’t need a full Shopify store. The new Agentic Plan lets WooCommerce, Magento, and other platform merchants:
- Add products to the Shopify Catalog
- Get listed across ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, and Google AI
- Keep their existing storefront for direct web traffic
This means Shopify is positioning itself as the middleware layer between all merchants and all AI assistants.
