What a deployment platform must give you
Before choosing, confirm the platform covers the five things that break in production:
- Isolation — each session in its own sandbox or microVM, so one prompt-injected agent cannot touch another’s data. See best AI agent sandboxes.
- State and durability — agents that run for minutes or hours need checkpoints and resumable runs; see durable execution platforms.

Platform notes
AWS Bedrock AgentCore. Modular: Runtime, Gateway, Identity, Policy, Memory, Browser, Code Interpreter and Observability can be used separately. Runtime billing is per second with a 1-second minimum, and CPU scales to zero during I/O wait — which is most of an agent’s life, because it is waiting for the model. AWS’s own example of 1 million ten-minute sessions with 90% I/O wait works out to about $0.002 of CPU per session.
Claude Managed Agents. You pay model tokens at normal Claude API rates plus $0.08 per session-hour of running time; idle time does not count. The fastest route if Claude is your model and you do not want to run infrastructure, at the cost of model lock-in.
LangGraph + LangSmith. LangGraph is the most widely used Python agent framework; LangSmith Plus adds Deployment and tracing at $39 per seat, billed in LangChain Standard Units ($1 per LSU) beyond the included 10k traces. Self-hosted and hybrid deployment are Enterprise options.
Google Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform. Vertex AI’s agent stack under a new name. Strong when you write agents with Google ADK and want Agent Registry, Agent Gateway and Memory Bank in one console.
Cloudflare Agents SDK. Each agent is a Durable Object with its own SQLite database, scheduling and WebSockets, deployed globally. Ideal for per-user assistants and chat agents; pair it with Workers AI or AI Gateway for models.
Microsoft Foundry and Copilot Studio. Foundry for developers, Copilot Studio for low-code makers, both governed by Agent 365 and Entra.
